Our final holiday programme for 2019 was a great success. Over the second week of the school holidays, we had 20 of our kids and 8 staff join us for a full-on week of fun and activities. Throughout the week, the kids put a great amount of effort into their Kapa Haka, arts and crafts and their afternoon activities across Tauranga.

As a group, we enjoyed laser tag, boxing, the Mount Hot Pools, BayWave, an intergroup activity afternoon and of course our whanau hāngi day and performance. As two of our older leaders were in Vanuatu, there was an opportunity for our young boys to step up and lead the way. It was awesome to see our younger ones lead the haka. Throughout the week, our staff often reflected how far our Te Aranui kids have come from the start of the year until now.

We are incredibly proud of them as their behaviours have improved immensely and we have seen them all become more confident and involved with our activities. It is very rewarding to see.   Check out some photos from our holiday programme below…
