Otumoetai College Celebration – Rainbows End
Better late than never – On February the 24th we finally got to celebrate the completion of our Wāhine Toa program at Otumoetai College. We had a fantastic day at Rainbows End! Our group had a great time going on all of the rides. It was nice to see all of our wāhine and catch up on how their schooling and home lives are going. The girls are all doing really well and have the tools to deal with whatever situation life throws at them. We wish them all the best for the future and look forward to seeing some of them come back as leaders for our next Otumoetai Wāhine Toa program this year.
Katikati College
Wāhine Toa is all go at Katikati College. Dion from the Ministry or Education mentioned that the school was struggling with a core group of rangatahi that needed some guidance. We teamed up along with Tawhai Schuster from the NZ Police to start a Wāhine Toa program. Our wāhine are awesome and are engaged in our sessions. We look forward to the next sessions on our Wāhine Toa journey.
